2015 Remedy (McCloud) Retirement Quotations

If you're expecting a retirement quote for a retirement or partial retirement after 30 September 2023, and you're affected by 2015 Remedy (McCloud) you'll soon receive a retirement quotation with two options. Your retirement quotation will include figures for both Legacy (one of classic, classic plus, premium and nuvos) and Reformed benefits (alpha) for the Remedy period. This is known as the ‘Deferred Choice Underpin’ (DCU). The Remedy period is 1 April 2015 - 31 March 2022.

These quotes are to ensure that you can make an informed choice on the retirement benefits you would like to receive for the Remedy period. Based on the information provided, your action is to complete the DCU Option form by selecting Option A or Option B. This will need to be returned to us as soon as possible please.

Exceptions

• Some members retiring on final retirement after partial retirement may not receive a DCU option with their quote. If the earlier partial retirement is also within the Remedy period, you will instead receive a retrospective option for your partial retirement. This will then also be applied to your final retirement after partial retirement. Retirement options will be issued between January 2024 and February 2025.
