Timing: Immediate

  1. This EPN updates employer guidance on the pension implications of compulsorily transferring staff both into and out of the Civil Service. The attached pages replace chapter 12 of the Employers’ Pension Guide. This EPN replaces the guidance in EPN96.
  2. The new guidance makes clear that you are responsible for ensuring that the pensions aspect of the transfer fully comply with the various requirements, and that you handle them promptly.
