Accessing your Civil Service Pension

You may have noticed some media coverage recently about changes being made by the Government to give pension scheme members more flexibility over how and when they access their pension benefits.

The policy changes do not currently apply to the main Civil Service Pension arrangements (classic, classic plus, premium and nuvos). Members of Partnership, members of the Stakeholder pension and those who have made Additional Voluntary Contributions will be able to take advantage of the new flexibilities.

For more information about the Government's Freedom and Choice in Pension Saving consultation you should visit: www.gov.uk/government/consultations/freedom-and-choice-in-pensions

We have also put together some Q&As about the changes, which you might find useful. You can find the Q&As here.
