For an overview of what the 2015 pension changes mean for you, have a look at the ‘at a glance’ guide that relates to deferred members .
The 2015 pension changes will not affect the preserved benefits that you have been awarded. These benefits will continue to be preserved until you reach your current Normal Pension Age (NPA). This is the earliest age that a scheme member can usually take their pension benefits without reduction.
For most classic, classic plus and premium members this is age 60. For nuvos members, it is age 65. If you are thinking of taking your pension early, please contact MyCSP. If you decide to return to work for a Principal Civil Service Pension Scheme (PCSPS) employer, the way these changes affect you would depend on a number of things, including the date you left and the date you returned to work. Please contact us for further information if this applies to you.
