EPN725 - Legal & General Change in file submission system

Audience

  • Pension leads

  • Payroll managers

  • Any staff who either submits or manages a shared service or payroll provider that submits monthly interfaces and end-of-year data to Legal & General

Summary

  • Legal & General's “Manage Your Scheme” system will be replaced by “My Scheme Updates” (MySU) by the end of 2025.

  • MySU must be used for submitting interfaces to Legal & General for the DC Section.

  • You will be able to access MySU with a one-time passcode sent to your work email.

  • Legal & General will migrate file mappings and provide guidance to payroll administrators.

Timing

  • You should commence work immediately with your payroll provider to prepare for the migration to Legal & General’s My Scheme Updates from 1 July 2025.

Detail

  • The Legal & General “Manage Your Scheme” system will be decommissioned by the end of 2025. To replace this, Legal & General has developed an enhanced system called “My Scheme Updates” (MySU).

  • Your payroll will not be able to submit files (e.g., new joiner or contribution) for the DC Section unless they use MySU.

  • Legal & General will migrate your current file mappings from “Manage Your Scheme” to MySU, so there is no need to change your file format.

  • Legal & General will contact the payroll administrator linked to your DC scheme to:

    1.  advise on what is required,

    2. provide details of when your scheme is due to migrate; and

    3. arrange a demonstration of MySU.

  • Access to MySU is via a one-time passcode sent to a registered work email address.

  • Legal & General will contact the payroll administrator linked to your DC scheme. If your payroll team shares access details, it is important that they set up individual access.

  • MySU will calculate the correct Target Date Fund. Legal & General advises employers not to provide an investment fund code on the new joiner file but instead allow MySU to calculate this. This applies to the Partnership Pension Account, Concord Pension Account, and the CSAVC (as the default fund is due to change to Target Date Funds later in 2025).

  • If you have any questions relating to MySU, please contact the team mailbox at: CSP@landg.com
