Summary
The submission of your end of year data is critical to producing Annual Benefit Statements (ABS) and Pension Saving Statements (PSS). This EPN is to remind you of the deadlines for submitting your end-of-year data in 2026.
As you will be aware, we’re working to implement a long-term solution to restore the loading and processing of monthly interfaces. In the meantime, we still need member earnings data so we can complete CARE year-end processing and produce accurate statements.
Actions
-
You should be aware of the requirement for submitting your end-of-year data in 2026.
-
You should understand how this affects the production of ABS and PSS
-
You must arrange to provide the Scheme Administrator with the required data (see below).

Detail
Payroll closure and interface requirements
1. To meet this year’s deadlines for issuing ABS and PSS, you must send us:
-
Your regular March interface
-
Your regular April interface
-
additional five-day Pension Input Period (PIP) data which will include member contributions and earnings data for the period 1 April 2026 to 5 April 2026
2. You must provide your additional Pension Input Period (PIP) data, using a manual interface spreadsheet, alongside your regular April interface. If you do not have a Manual Interface spreadsheet, email interface@civilservicepensionscheme.org.uk to request one.
3. Failure to submit your CARE year-end data will delay the preparation and production of ABS and PSS for your members.
4. Submit your CARE year-end data using your usual method, such as Egress or another secure file transfer method that has already been agreed with the Scheme Administrator. If you have any problems sending your data, email interface@civilservicepensionscheme.org.uk.
5. Submit your CARE year-end data as soon as possible, and no later than 19 June. If you cannot meet this deadline, email the interface team at interface@civilservicepensionscheme.org.uk.
