Change of postcode

Postcode search on the CSPS Member Portal

You may experience difficulties finding your postcode when updating your address or beneficiary details on the Member Portal. 

The postcode lookup service has been updated, and no longer works for most members. In some cases, issues may still occur. This can happen if an address is new or not yet registered with Royal Mail.

If you cannot find your postcode, you can enter your address manually and submit it for review and update.

Troubleshooting

There are steps you can take to try and fix any issues before contacting us:

  • Ensure standard UK postcode format (SW1A 1AA) 

  • Check if you can enter your address manually

Example scenarios

Scenario A – You are updating your own address, and your postcode is not recognised on the CSPS Portal: 

You must write in to request to change their address at the address below, detailing that your new address was not recognised by the portal. Including sufficient identification and verification information.

Scenario B – You are adding/updating a beneficiary, and your Postcode is not recognised on the Portal: 

The easiest way to update this, is to submit the details via the portal via manual entry.

Or you can write in to the address below with your updated Beneficiary Details. Please include sufficient identification and verification information.

Updating your address

If your postcode is not recognised when you update your address, you must write to request the change. You can find the address in the Where to send your letter section.

Please explain that your postcode could not be found on the portal and include the following details:

• Full name 

• Full address 

• Date of birth 

• National Insurance number or pension reference number 

• Name of scheme or employer 

• Handwritten signature 

Updating beneficiary details

If you are adding or updating beneficiary details and the postcode is not recognised, we recommend entering the address manually through the portal.

If you prefer to write to us, include the same identification details as above and send your letter to the address shown in the Where to send your letter section.
