Audience: HR and Communication Managers and all staff responsible for dealing with added pension contracts and enquiries from members

Action: Ensure all relevant members of staff are aware of the contents of this EPN and are using the latest versions of the added pension calculators.

Timing: Immediately

  1. The added pension calculators are used to estimate the cost of buying added pension. The calculators have been updated to reflect both the new lump sum factors and the new maximum rate.
  2. The maximum has been uprated to include the April 08 and the April 09 up-rating. The maximum rate applicable in 2009-10 is £5,500 for premium / classic plus / nuvos and £4,400 for classic.
