Action: To be aware a new version of the Medical Guidance Notes is available
Timing: Immediate
- The Medical Guidance Notes (MGN) explain the medical provisions of the Civil Service pension and compensation arrangements and the processes involved in using them. They are available on the publications section of our website.
- The updated version now includes reference to nuvos provisions and the upper-tier review appeal procedures. We have also taken the opportunity to make minor alterations to the wording for the purpose of clarity.
- There has been no change to the medical provisions or processes except that the referral form for Civil Service Injury Benefit Scheme referrals is being updated and renamed CSIBS1. The new form replaces the Med 4 form and can be downloaded from our website.
- If you hold any hard copies of the previous MGN please destroy them immediately.
