Civil Service Pensions has developed a fully digital member newsletter which it is issuing to active members of the pension scheme in March 2022. The scheme is requesting support from employers to share the newsletter with members.

As part of our digital and environmental agenda, Civil Service Pensions has developed its first 100% digital member newsletter.

We have built a brand new newsletter template into the Civil Service Pensions website to power the newsletter. The digital format has allowed us to include brand new functionality within a newsletter for the first time, including:

  • Interactive articles
  • Polls
  • Video
  • Communications subscription opt-in forms

This new format is designed to help members engage with the newsletter content, provide better data to inform future improvements and help increase member take-up of the website, portal and engagement events which are being organised by the scheme.

Newsletter content

  • A video introduction from the Director of Civil Service Pensions, Dominic Arthur
  • An interactive update on the planned improvements to customer experience the scheme is working on
  • An update on the 2015 Remedy including Ill health retirement
  • Signposts to the pension portal and member engagement survey
  • An article about the pension scheme and it’s benefits
  • An interactive poll
  • An update on the upcoming Live @ Lunch events
  • An opt in form for members to subscribe to updates from the scheme via email

None of these subjects should cause any escalations or cause any undue contact from your staff.

Civil Service Pensions are asking for support from employers to share the newsletter via your intranet and staff networks. In addition, will issue an email notification to all active members who are registered for the pension portal, starting on 11 March 2022.
