Deferred Members Green Bar

You're a ‘deferred member’ if you've left the Civil Service (or an employer covered by the Civil Service pension arrangements) and were awarded a pension that you haven't yet claimed.

Key sections:

Are you in the right place?

If you worked for the Civil Service previously (for more than 2 years) then you are called a 'deferred member with preserved pension benefits'.

If you're currently employed by an employer that offers a Civil Service pension then you're an 'active' member and need to visit our Active members section for more information.

Contact details for deferred members

The Scheme Administrator (MyCSP) makes pension payments on behalf of the Scheme Manager (Cabinet Office) and administers preserved benefits.

You should contact the Scheme Administrator directly if you have any questions about this.

Important things to tell the Scheme Administrator (MyCSP)

Don’t forget to tell the Scheme Administrator if you move house or change your bank account details. You can do this by telephone, post or email.

If you wish to change your death benefit nomination, please complete the death benefit form, which you can find under Forms, and send it to the Scheme Administrator by post or email.
