Adding or changing a death benefit nomination a death benefit nomination

If you still work for the Civil Service or you’re receiving your pension, you can add or change a death benefit nomination using the Pension Portal.

If you’ve left the Civil Service and have an unclaimed Civil Service pension or can’t access the Pension Portal, complete and return a Death Benefit Nomination form.

Changing your name or marital status

If you still work for the Civil Service, you can change your details by informing your employer, who will then share your new details with us.

If you’re already receiving your pension, complete the Change of details form – pensioners.

If you’ve left the Civil Service and have an unclaimed Civil Service pension, complete the Change of details and retirement application form – deferred members.

Changing your bank details

If you still work for the Civil Service, you can change your details by informing your employer, who will then share your new details with us.

If you’re already receiving your pension, complete the Change of details form – pensioners.

If you live outside the UK, you’ll also need to complete an Overseas Payment Mandate and send it to us along with the Change of details form – pensioners.

If you’ve left the Civil Service and have an unclaimed Civil Service pension, we will ask for your bank details during the retirement process.

Changing your phone number, address or email address

If you still work for the Civil Service or you’re receiving your pension, you can update your phone number, address or email address using the Pension Portal.

If you can’t access the Pension Portal and still work for the Civil Service, inform your employer, who will then share your new details with us.

If you are receiving your pension, you can change your phone number or email address by completing the Change of details form – pensioners.

If you’ve left the Civil Service and have an unclaimed Civil Service pension, please contact us.
